Boulder, Colorado is a thriving ecosystem for startups and technology. Recently, the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce organized a trip to Boulder to learn about the components and interactions that combine to create this hospitable startup environment. The Santa Cruz group included our Mayor and 4 City Councilmembers, the Chancellor and others from UCSC, and private individuals.
There is much to learn from Boulder as a model startup ecosystem. It is great to know that that City and civic organizations are taking strides to understand this and are embracing new ideas. This is our opportunity to hear first-hand what was learned, where the opportunities lie, and understand how we can shape our future.
Join us for a informal panel discussion with members of our community who were on the trip:
Hilary Bryant — Mayor of Santa Cruz Art Ramirez — Dean of Baskin School of Engineering UCSC Bill Tysseling — Santa Cruz Chamber Bill Richter — Richter Law Offices David Terrazas — Santa Cruz City Council member Manu Koenig — Civinomics
