What we're about

Welcome to Santa Fe Sierra Club Outings! We sponsor hikes and outings every weekend, all year round. Hikes and outings are free and open to the public. You need not be a member of the Sierra Club to participate (though of course we'd like you to join).

If you wish to become a Trip Leader for the Santa Fe Sierra Club, contact Alan Shapiro, the organizer for this Meetup site.

If you are already a Trip Leader and wish to schedule an outing, contact Aku for detailed instructions, or just jump in and follow the prompts you will get when you click the red "Schedule a new Meetup" button on the homepage!

Pajarito Ski Hill, Easy to Moderate

Market Street

Easy/moderate hike to the top of Pajarito Ski hill above Los Alamos, four miles, 1,200 foot elevation-gain. This is a straightforward walk up service roads. Great views of the Valles Caldera and more from our 10,000+ ft. vantage point. We'll have time at the top to eat, rest, and savor the views. We will hike up the eastern side and can descend on the western side to make a loop of it. Bring snacks/lunch, water, and rain gear. The Sierra Club encourages carpooling and has a suggested reimbursement of $5 for each passenger. (About an 80 mi. RT drive)
