This is about a 7 mile round-trip hike with a total elevation gain of just under 1,000 ft. It is a pleasant walk in the woods along the intermittent Glorieta Creek to the remains of an old settlement. There are abandoned mines, the remains of a sawmill and hotel, and seasonal wildflowers.
The Sierra Club encourages carpooling and suggests a driver reimbursement of $4 for this drive.
