What we're about

One of the most positive, life affirming choices anyone can make for their health, other people, the earth and all species is to adopt and practice a vegan lifestyle. This group is for anyone who is already vegan, vegetarian or just curious about this popular lifestyle choice. The meet-up is a non-judgmental place to have fun, get educated and connect with community.

ThanksLiving Vegan Potluck!

Center for Progress & Justice

Please join us for our annual ThanksLIVING vegan potluck. This year we are celebrating the signing by the mayor of Santa Fe making every November "Vegan Awareness Month." To keep with the theme of celebrating life, please bring an 8 serving dish to share that has no animal products (no meat, fish, dairy, eggs or honey) along with the recipe for your dish (this is helpful for those with allergies and those who would like to try cooking the dish). There is NO oven for heating food! You will also need to bring a place setting (plate, utensils and cup) for yourself and any guests you may bring. There will be delicious food, dance music, kids activity corner, costumes (because what party isn't better with costumes??) and good company. A donation jar will be available to help offset any rental expense. We need volunteers to help with parking, setup and cleanup. Please help us make this a great event! Organizers will be getting there at 11 AM for setup, please join us. NOTE: The parking lot next door is NOT to be used! There is parking around the building (front and side), around the Films Technicians building immediately to the north, on the street behind the Center and at the corner lot of Tesuque Dr and Taos St.

Kindred Spirits Animal Sanctuary Open House Christmas Party and Vegan Snacks

Kindred Spirits Animal Sanctuary

Kindred Spirits Animal Rescue is home to dozens and dozens of elderly animals; specifically dogs, horses, and birds. The organization specializes in hospice care, and provides not only care to their resident animals, but also reaches out to the public through their many educational workshops and talks. To summarize, this is a VERY SPECIAL sanctuary, and I highly recommend visiting if you have not. The event starts at 3:30pm. At their annual holiday party, there will be tours of the sanctuary at 4:00pm, a lighting of the Christmas tree at 5:30 (sharp) (with the dogs of course), and vegan refreshments and snacks. Please visit their website and/or Facebook page for more information: http://www.kindredspiritsnm.org http://www.facebook.com/KindredSpiritsAnimalSanctuary 3749-A Highway 14, Santa Fe, NM,[masked] PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT THIS AMAZING ORGANIZATION :) :)
