In the last couple of years, putting applications in isolated containers has helped with Service-oriented architecture, in which applications are built from smaller services which communicate with each other over a communication protocol through the network. When Docker entered that world it boosted the DevOps revolution by continually adding valuable tools to the DevOps toolchain.

In this talk we are going to cover what Linux containerization is, how Docker helps us to use it easily with the tools built around it, with examples on how to build a container image and orchestrate an application stack on the dev machine, and run it in production on a Docker swarm cluster.

Speaker of this meetup is Davor Šerfez. He started off as an Operation and Maintenance Technician on a public phone switch near the end of the last century. He moved to PC administration and soon entered the world of IP networking. Curiosity and hunger for research led him to sailing into troubled waters of Information Security as a Network Security Engineer and later on as a Cyber Security Consultant. From the beginning of this year he is a member of the Infobip family in the role of Security Engineer. In the last couple of years, since around version 0.7, using Docker actively for fun and work, and trying to catch up with innovations continually being added to it.
