What we're about

SUP SARASOTA is a Stand up Paddle-board meetup group with the primary focus being on paddling for fitness, fun, touring and racing.

Our trips are in the Bradenton-Sarasota area and range from 4 -6 miles at an average/moderate pace.

There is NO COST to join our meetup group or to come on any of our trips.
Only members are allowed on our trips.
You must post a clear head shot photo for acceptance in the group.

Some of our popular destinations include Robinson's Preserve (Bradenton), Bayfront Park (Longboat Key), Turtle Beach (Siesta Key), Blackburn Point (Casey Key), Upper Manatee River, Gamble Creek and the Jigg's Landing (Braden River).

Trips last anywhere from 2 -3 hours.

Individual instruction can be arranged $20/hour (BYOB) or $35/hr (includes board rental).

Please note that this SUP group is geared to fitness paddling (touring and racing) and not for SUP Yoga.

Our group is suitable for all levels of paddlers. On some paddles we have a faster group and a more moderate speed group. We will list the appropriate skill level on the individual event descriptions. If you are unsure about your skill level contact the event host.

NO-SHOW POLICY

We realize that last minute issues come up that can prevent someone from attending a paddle once they RSVP. If that happens to you, please be considerate to the trip leader and notify them that you will not be attending. Many of our paddles have a waiting list. Anyone who RSVPs that they will be attending an event and fails to show up without changing their status TWO times will be REMOVED from the group.

Please note that those who set up trips for SUP SARASOTA are TRIP LEADERS, not GROUP COUNSELORS. They are not responsible for your safety! Every member or trip participant is responsible for their own decisions, equipment choices, and personal skill evaluation.

BE ON TIME - Be courteous to everyone especially trip leaders who take the effort to organize events.

We hope to see you at our next paddle.
