This #CaliCreativity session is a sequel to valuable sessions held since 2012 at AstroLabs Dubai and elsewhere in the USA, Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as webinars and written guides featured on Page 1 of Google.

Meetup Agenda:
This Californian Creativity session will clearly show founders of SMEs and startups and others interested in Marketing how to tell their story to the people they want to reach by utilizing:

• Owned Media: i.e. how to create an effective blogging and social media content strategy for your company

• Earned Media: key advice, from someone with international media experience, regarding how to create good relationships with journalists that create opportunities to be featured in media outlets

• Digital tools that help create successful results for both of the above areas and simplify your work

• The new wave of Communications platforms: areas of opportunity that you need to be aware of

Practical Takeaways:
Traditional Public Relations and Mass Communications are rapidly evolving in the digital era and those who keep up with this evolution will be able to stand out from the crowd. As Saudi Arabia witnesses an increase in social media usage, audio consumption via podcasts and international business transactions thanks to initiatives like Vision 2030 and SAGIA’s improved business licensing process, it has become increasingly important to be able to communicate your organization’s mission and value to the press and general public within and outside of the Kingdom.

In light of the rise of English publications covering news about sectors like startups and SMEs, this course features media outreach advice from an International Communications specialist and veteran journalist who has been published by and featured in English and Arabic publications such as Gulf Business Magazine, Gulf Marketing Review Magazine, Wamda, MENAbytes, Communicate Middle East, CNN and Al Ittihad, the UAE’s first Arabic newspaper.
