Following the success of the first Scala Meetup in Porto and our growing community, we would like to announce another knowledge sharing session on the 18th of March 2020 at 7 pm.
As a result of the unfolding Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, we are moving this Meetup online. It's our responsibility to follow the WHO recommendations in regards to public health and limit public gatherings to keep us all safe.
Title: Hitchhiker's Guide to Scala applications on Kubernetes
Kubernetes provides many features that can be easily leveraged to deploy scalable cloud-native applications.
But how can we build resilient and highly available Scala applications using these features?
During this talk, we will go through the process of evolving a simple Scala program to a scalable and fault-tolerant production-ready application deployed to Kubernetes.
"I'm an avid functional programming fan, with a (not so) secret love for DevOps.
When not actively dodging my Master's thesis, I love telling bad jokes and playing any instrument I can.
Currently at Codacy building The platform for Code Quality Standardization."
We are going to finish with the networking session with pizzas and beers that will be sponsored by Blip.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
