You Snooze You Lose: How to Win in Ad Tech

Details

Second only to high frequency trading when it comes to low latency, real-time bidding platforms have just 100 milliseconds or less to win a bid and serve an Ad. Aerospike founder Srini V. Srinivasan will describe how leading digital advertising companies are scaling their businesses using a NoSQL database for real-time processing on the edge and to leverage insights generated using a Hadoop based analytics platform in the back.

He will describe how Aerospike’s game changing hybrid approach to memory (DRAM + Flash), a self-healing cluster architecture and real-time optimization techniques make for a powerful NoSQL database that scales up and out to consistently deliver 1 Million+ TPS, sub-millisecond query responses, and 100% uptime—while managing terabytes of data and billions of objects with dramatically smaller cluster sizes.

Prakash Chandra, Director of CTD Engineering will talk about how eBay is pushing the limits of speed at scale, describe the challenges involved and decisions that must be made in building a platform that must lookup data within extremely tight SLAs and how eBay uses Aerospike, Hadoop and big data analytics to turn insights into action.
