Talks
Latency, Extreme Load and Kobe Bryant - How to Handle Latency Under Extreme Cases? - Gal Shelach, Taboola
Taboola serves recommendations through hundreds of servers in multiple data centers around the world. We are obligated to strict SLAs, and any delay and surely downtime mean us losing lots of money. To ensure this 24/7 availability, we built our own in-house mechanisms for handling sudden bursts of traffic, regardless of peak hours or unexpected events in the media.
Want to hear more? Join Gal Shelach for an interesting lecture regarding controlling our SLA under extreme load, and using Anomaly Detection to eliminate possible issues before they become a real problem in availability.
Gal is a Team Leader of a Production Team in the Infrastructure Group, Taboola
Noisy Neighbors and Resource Utilization in Multi-tenant SaaS - Max Rozenoer, Cloudinary
Cloudinary serves transformed media at high scale, for customers including those with unpredictable and irregular traffic patterns. The subject of this talk is how, given such a multi-tenant system, we optimize utilization of our computing resources and protect our customers from noisy neighbors.
Max Rozenoer is a Senior Software Engineer in Cloudinary's R&D
Platform Team.
