This is a special live-feed from the "Scaling Agile Tidewater" meet up group, featuring industry experts Dr. Ahmed Sidky from IC Agile, Bill Krebs from Berkana Enterprise Consulting and AgileDimensions, Mac Felsing, Adam Beck and Ken Ritchie from Berkana Enterprise Consulting.

We will start with a panel discussion of what agile certifications are available, which may be more relevant, and a little preview of an exciting new offering from William and Mary.

Here are some tips for attendees for participating in our Thursday, 7pm online meeting:- Click the 'cartoon bubble' icon for text chat- Click the phone icon, which lets you connect with voice over IP or a phone number - If using voice over IP folks should mute when not speaking, or mute when speaking, and wear a headset or earbuds.

  • If you have a bad internet connection the phone number will give you better quality.

  • The phone number is assigned at the time you call, so click the triangle to reveal the number and conference id.

  • If you would like your name to show up in the chat (recommended) click the 'head and shoulders' icon and fill in your name on the top line.

In addition to being a frequent speaker at agile conferences and the co-author of a top-rated agile adoption book, Becoming Agile in an Imperfect World, Ahmed Sidky is the executive vice president at Santeon Group responsible for software delivery and agile services. Along with many years of experience in software development, Ahmed has a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in value-based process frameworks for effective agile adoption. He has gained popularity and respect in the agile community as a proponent of a pragmatic approach for organizations attempting to adopt agile. Ahmed is often called Dr. Agile because of his free online agile readiness assessment tool, Doctor Agile. Ahmed enjoys the reaction on people's faces when they learn the values and principles of how to create high-performing, Lean and Agile teams and organizations. Ahmed has educated people starting from CEOs to Jr. Developers in companies around the world such as: Microsoft, Yahoo, IBM, Siemens, Verizon Wireless, Raytheon, Booz Allen Hamilton, Vodafone and Raya.
