Demystifying the Creative Commons & copyright

Details
In this 'talk n' make' event we'll critically explore the issues with copyright and how Creative Commons licensing can address them.
You'll learn about what the Creative Commons (CC) is about, the difference between CC and traditional copyright, and we'll watch the mini-documentary "Everything is a Remix (https://vimeo.com/139094998)" (~30 mins & has subtitles). Then through a hands-on activity, we'll hone in on the relevance of CC to our everyday lives linked to social media. All welcome - join us!
Also, if there is something you have made (e.g. text, image, sound, video, code, etc.) that you'd like to know how to share on the Internet with a CC licence, please bring them and we'll do it together!
