Nov.5 - What is the mind all about?

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking forward to the Nov. 5 meetup! I think that we'll have a fascinating time exploring the basic features of the mind.

For people who are interested in gathering after the meeting, we'll decide at the time where to go -- coffee shop or restaurant. You're welcome to come even if you don't wish to buy any food.

I'll bring copies of my new book, Why Human Life Makes Sense, in case anyone's interested. Most of what we'll discuss isn't covered in the book, but the topic of personal responsibility is, along with the underlying topics of knowledge and indeterminism. The book costs $10 for one and $20 for three. The reason for the discount is to make it easier to buy extra copies for friends who may be interested.
