What we're about

Scout Club VT is a group of adults that meets to play a variety of games and exercises requiring sensory awareness, strategy, stealth, movement, and intuition. We usually meet in Burlington parks but urban locations have been used. We’re enthusiastic about the games and skills, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. So far, most of us have a background working with kids outside, and I’ve heard several times that people love the opportunity to switch roles and play!

Summer 2018 we are organizing weekly capture the flag events open to a wider audience. For regular attendees, this will provide the consistency and repetition necessary for building real skill — experimenting with natural movement, strategy, and blending with the landscape. For drop-ins, it will be a nice way to get outside and have some fun.

2018 summer dates (Friday evenings):

June 29 (Red Rocks Park)
July 6, 13, 20 (Locations TBA)
Aug 3, 10, 17, 24

If there’s enough interest, it would be fun to do a bigger, longer, more complex, late night game sometime. Regardless, our regular, highly-varied scout sessions will resume — in some form — in the fall. To get involved, just ask.
