Please be sure to peruse the following guidelines and faqs.

1. We are a cooking club.

2. Each month we alternate hosts among members. Every member will have to host at least 6 members and guests seated at a table. Hosting means at your house / apt or sometimes another member will let you host at their house.

Host
* determines the theme (subject to organizer's approval - to ensure variety)
* provides entree and cocktail and identifies them on the event page before RSVPs open
* states any pets they have at their home for folks who may be allergic
* edits the template to only have courses that make sense for their event - identify with a number in parenthesis if you want more than one person to be able to sign up for that course

The host will be given access to the meetup event in order to edit those things. RSVPs open 6 weeks before the dinner.

The Organizer, Theresa, will always be listed as a host along with the event host even if I cannot attend the actual event.

3. Dinners are held the 2nd Saturday of each month at 6:30pm. Hosts may request to change the date or time.

4.All items must be home made. Yep, that means if you are bringing bread . . . expect to make it! Salad dressing, make it. You get the idea.

If a course does not lend itself to being homemade (such as a cheese course), you would purchase the item but you would try to find something interesting and unique to purchase. And you would consider what to pair it with such as a homemade tapenade . . . for example. Or be creative with your interpretation of a cheese course and create a dish with primarily cheese.

Assembling a dish from cans or jars is NOT the type of cooking we mean!

5.Each member attending brings a bottle of wine that complements the menu. Unopened bottles are left with host as a thank you for hosting

6.Guests must sign up for a course and bring a homemade dish. Unless the guest is a spouse or significant other.

7. Dinners are not a child friendly

8. The number of folks who can attend will be based upon what that month's host can accommodate in a casual sit down setting.

9. Any cancellation (other than an emergency) within 2 days of the dinner event, unfortunately, will necessitate my cancelling your membership to this meetup group. It takes effort to host and cancelling at the last minute isn't cool.

10. Singles or couples, over the age of 30, in Corona or nearby communities are welcome to join. Since part of the membership will be hosting at your house, we need members to be within reasonable driving distance of Corona.

11. If you have significant food allergies, intolerances or dislikes, we are not the group for you. We do not alter menu or dishes based upon allergies members may have. You are always welcome to ask what ingredients are in a dish to make sure you don't accidentally eat something that you are allergic to.
