Learn how easy it is to make-your-own delicious probiotic-rich foods at home from Amy Love and Matt Varner! We'll start with a discussion about culturing yogurt and gathering probiotic whey. Then you will see a demonstration of how to use that whey to make nutritious homemade sauerkraut, ginger carrots and real pickles. Finally, enjoy a short demonstration of how to make the cultured beverages kombucha and water kefir - both delicious and healthy additions to your diet.

Cost: sliding scale of $15-25 per person. Due to materials cost for this class, we need a deposit in order to keep your spot for you. It will be non-refundable, though it can be transferred to someone else if you can find another person to take your place. Please send your $10 deposit (checks made to Amy Love) to Amy Antonucci, 219 France Rd, Barrington NH 03823 by OCTOBER 1st - EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 9.

A note: Kombucha scobys will be available for purchase for $5 and water kefir grains may also be available.

Amy Love and Matt Varner are local nutritional therapists and traditional/real food enthusiasts. When not working with clients or teaching cooking classes, they are busy with their small organically run farm - Acorn Hill Farmstead in Nottingham, NH - with its burgeoning gardens and resident chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats and pigs. Having both recovered their health using a real food diet and natural, holistic methods, Amy & Matt are passionate about sharing the benefits of a nutrient-dense diet with others.

PARKING: You can park at the top of the driveway (closest to the house, not the road) and the little side area in the the driveway (on the right). Parking on the street may be quite difficult, so carpooling and parking so that as many cars can fit as possible will be appreciated. We will move our own vehicles out of the way for maximum space!
