Guided Nature Walk

Details

Join White Pine Programs Educator & Naturalist Ryan Busby for an exploration of SELT's Stonehouse Forest as he shares techniques for awakening your senses to the living landscape. Wildlife tracking, bird language, pattern recognition and natural movement are just some of the topics that could come up on the walk. When we begin to see the subtle patterns and behaviors on our landscapes as clues we can unlock the mysteries of nature and engage fully as resourceful and resilient people and communities. Our ancestors learned these skills at an early age. We can regain them and deepen our connection to the world around us. You'll leave having learned something new about yourself, the landscape and your connection to it. See you on the trail! This event is for adults and children 10+ years of age.

COVID Precautions: Please wear a mask to the trailhead and we will go over social distancing rules for the walk before we begin. Thanks

Registration fee of $5 holds your spot and a suggested donation of $5-$20 can be sent to White Pine Programs here: https://whitepineprograms.org/support-white-pine/
The proceeds from all donations will be split between White Pine and David Sinapass, a longtime contributor to White Pine who is of Mi'kmaq decent and has fallen on hard time due to the COVID pandemic: (https://www.lonebearsarts.com/fundraiser)
Note: This event is co-sponsored by White Pine Programs (whitepineprograms.org) and Southeast Land Trust (seltnh.org)
