Hegel's Philosophy of Art

Details
Join us for a virtual seminar/reading group on Hegel's Philosophy of Art, as discussed in the third part of the Encyclopedia of the Philosophical Sciences.
The seminar will be led by Dr. Justin Burke, who studied philosophy in the United Kingdom at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, and completed his doctorate on Hegel's aesthetics at the University of Oxford in England. He recently participated in the 33rd International Hegel Congress, and currently serves as Executive Director of the Institute for Advanced Dialectical Research:

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ASSIGNED READING FOR EACH SESSION IS MANDATORY FOR ALL DISCUSSION PARTICIPANTS. IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE MATERIAL YOU ARE WELCOME TO JUST LISTEN.
ASSIGNED READING:
Part 3 of the Encyclopedia of the Philosophical Sciences: Absolute Mind
PAGES 259 -262 (INWOOD TRANSLATION) - §558 – §563
We will be using the newer Inwood revised version of the Wallace/Miller translation (although if you already own a hardcopy of the older Wallace/Miller translation you can use that - however I understand the Inwood revision is superior from reviews).
Inwood revised translation of the Philosophy of Mind:
