What we're about

This Meetup group exists to publicize several ways for people to learn to play, or expand their knowledge of, the game of Bridge. If you're Bridge-curious, or are looking to learn the game, or are an early player who wants to improve your game, this Meetup group is for you!

Beginning Bridge is a 10-week lesson series that prepares you to play Bridge in a social game or an entry-level competitive game. Cost is $10 per person per week, with discounts for under-25s.

Rookie Duplicate is an entry-level competitive game, held weekly on Tuesday evenings at Seattle Bridge Center. This event is free for players with fewer than 50 ACBL masterpoints; donations are accepted to help offset costs. Spectators are welcome.

Drop-In Bridge is an occasional event to focus on a specific aspect of the game of Bridge. This event is free for all players; donations are accepted to help offset costs.

Light snacks are provided at all events.

Play Rookie Duplicate

Seattle Bridge Center

Every Tuesday evening, Seattle Bridge Center is the host for a Rookie Duplicate game. This is a sanctioned game of Duplicate Bridge, with a few slight modifications to make it more friendly to those with less experience. The game starts at 7pm; plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early to get settled. We usually end between 9:30 and 10pm. If you are just becoming interested in the game of Bridge, join us as a spectator and see what it's all about. If you've taken a series of Bridge lessons, or have a similar level of Bridge experience, join us as a player. We'll help you along with the details. If you have a fair amount of Bridge experience, bring a friend and introduce them to the game of Bridge. We award ACBL masterpoints for those who finish high in the standings at the end of the evening. We will try to arrange a partner for you if you arrive without one. All players and spectators should arrive by 7pm so we can arrange the game to fit the number of people in the room. Spectators may leave early if needed. Cost: Free to players with 0-50 ACBL masterpoints; $3 for players with[masked]; $6 for 200+. A donation box is available to help offset costs. Questions? Post them here or leave a voice message for David at 206/[masked]
