Co-Work at MiiR in Fremont
Coffee. Wifi. Outlets. We meet up with our laptops, chat a little bit—then put on headphones and ignore each other while we work on our own stuff. It's magical :D Come and leave at whatever time! The times here are approximate—it's best to join the Slack channel to see when people are really showing up and heading out! Sometimes we go to lunch too! Join us on Slack: our private chat channel for just the Seattle Freelance & Remote Workers group! People will announce what time they're coming on Tuesdays, and we also use the channel to spontaneously organize co-working Meetups just about every day of the week! Contact me at [masked] with your preferred email address, and I'll add you to the channel. Then just download the Slack app on your phone and/or desktop. Holly Regan [masked]

What we're about

Hello fellow freelancer/remote worker! Isn't living the WFH and WFCoffeeShop life great? But sometimes it gets pretty lonely without co-workers to chat with and learn from, or even just to stare at their laptop screen! Let's gather together to share in our triumphs and woes as freelance and remote workers. All backgrounds are welcome!

We have a weekly co-working event at Miir on Stone Way, but we end up getting together to work just about every day of the week. We gather with our laptops at coffee shops (with an understanding to respect the headphones!), and have monthly social events to actually chat and hang out. Most events are in Fremont, Ballard, Greenwood, Greenlake, Phinney Ridge or Capitol Hill, but we go all over—and please feel free to jump in and organize your own!

We use Slack to communicate: It's basically a private chat room where we hang out, plan impromptu co-working sessions and send an obscene amount of Giphys. If you want to join, send an email to seattlecoworkandsocial@gmail.com to request to join, and we'll invite you! Essentially, we will just hop on Slack every weekday and tell each other where we're going to work, and those of us who are able will get together. Sometimes there are multiple groups at different places at once. We go with the flow!

NOTE: If you are organizing a Meetup, please indicate if the event is a Co-Working Meetup (meaning bring your laptop, heads down until break or lunch) or a Social Meetup (just hanging out and chatting with fellow freelancers!) i.e. "Co-Work at Bauhaus Coffee Shop" or "Social: Stoup Brewing" **
