Beginners Hike And RazorClams Festival !

Details

Beautiful Day . Let's go on a scenic Hike. Then head off to the 13th Annual Razor Clam festival.

You’ll have no problems hiking Damon Point, It's a gem of a landscape/seascape located on the southern tip of Ocean Shores. A bird sanctuary and dream of a beachcomber's ocean beach, this one mile sandspit juts out into the ocean with wild waves crashing on one side and calm bay waters on the other. Sand, pebbles, and agates line the shore, rising up to driftwood forts, tree trunk pileups, and bouncy logs. The plateau on top is sand packed adorned with sea grass. Pick a spot, any spot. Head out on one side and back on the other. Take shelter in one of the many forts. Search for whales along the way, and especially at the end of the spit. Scan the skies for the bald eagle mates who nest there, and if you're truly lucky, go in March to spy the snowy owls.

Discover Pass Needed.

After the hike we will venture to Ocean Shores for Razor Clam & Seafood Festival !

Come taste world famous mussels. This is always a wonderful event.

The seashore and town are transformed as thousands of clam diggers and food lovers, families and friends head to the sea for the newly expanded 13th Annual Ocean Shores Razor Clam & Seafood Festival, Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Convention Center. The FREE Festival is presented by the Quinault Beach Resort Casino and is an Ocean Shores North Beach Chamber of Commerce event. Festival hours are 10 am-8 pm Saturday

Visit local restaurants, sample their secret mussel chowder recipes and vote for your favorite.

Here they can purchase tickets to the festival favorite Razor Clams Chowder Tasting Competition, which pits local restaurants against each other for the coveted Mussel Chowder prize. The competition sells out quickly, so organizers recommend that visitors buy their tickets before noon.

The Ocean Shores Razor Clam and Seafood Festival is the celebration of local beach life, culture and the great bounty of the sea featuring our famous razor clam “digs.” The Festival offers activities for the entire family whether you come to go clamming, to enjoy the 6 miles of beach or the amazing array of fun and activities in the beach town businesses and Festival.

Razor clams abound, from The Quinault Nation; fish and chips with halibut, cod, shrimp and, of course, razor clams; seafood gumbo; Bennett's Dungeness crab cakes; and a raw oyster bar.
