Seattle Gay Couples

Seattle Gay Couples (SGC) is a volunteer, nonprofit social group for gay male couples from all walks of life. We provide an opportunity for you and your partner to meet other gay couples, build lifelong friendships and explore gay-related issues of interest to you. We sponsor a variety of social events throughout the year.

SGC has been in existence in the Seattle area for more than 25 years.  This social club requires a paid membership, we offer a trial membership if you want to get to know us better before joining for a full year! 

Mission of Seattle Gay Couples

Seattle Gay Couples is a social club for male, gay couples that facilitates social activities for members for validating, promoting, and strengthening healthy relationships and building a network of gay couples across the greater Puget Sound region.

SGC has no political or religious affiliations.  It is not a dating service, counseling or crisis center, or sex club.

About our Members

Seattle Gay Couples member couples have been together anywhere from a few months to several decades.  We come from diverse cultural, social, and professional backgrounds but have a common interest in friendship and camaraderie. Many couples have been SGC members for many years.

Any male persons participating in a same-gender, self-defined couple relationship in which each person in the relationship is 21 years of age or older and who agrees to all conditions of membership may apply for SGC membership.

A Sampling of Our Activities

Dinner Groups     When you sign up for the dinner rotation, you are matched with two or three other couples. Each couple hosts the other two over the course of a four-month period. "Dinner" doesn’t have to be dinner, it could be an afternoon picnic at a park, a trip to a museum, or any other mutually agreed upon activity.

Bowling     Own your own bowling ball and shoes? You'll show most of us up for sure, but we have a great time nonetheless. Every so often SGC sponsors an afternoon or night of bowling. Frequently held on a Sunday, we have a late afternoon game, accompanied by good food, drinks, and plenty of gutter balls. 

Annual Summer Picnic     The SGC Annual Picnic is held annually at a scenic Seattle-area park. SGC provides hamburgers and links with all the condiments and soft drinks, and attending couples bring a dish to share. One of the highlights is collecting ideas and setting dates for events for the upcoming year.

Annual Valentine's Day Dinner     Every February SGC hosts an evening at a local restaurant or other venue for socializing, good food, and a few fun games. The menu is fixed price and pre-registration is required.

Potlucks     Potlucks are frequently held at member couple's houses. Bring your handmade pasta and vegetable's from your garden, or introduce the crowd to the great deli or bakery down the road from your place. All members and their guests are welcome.

Annual Winter Holiday Party     Early December sees us gathering together to celebrate the holiday season, ring out the old year, and ring in the new.  Always well attended, this "enhanced" potluck event features a raucous, fun and surprising gift exchange. 

All year round SGC has a wide variety of events such as excursions in and around Washington State, hikes, movie parties, and more, including ad hoc events, are created by the organization and individual members.  Some are attended by the whole group, others by small groups of couples. Whether they are large or small, each brings us closer together as a group.
