What we're about

Sometimes the formality of meetups is too much. This group exists to socialize and show off your latest piece of hardware. If it's a simple Arduino based thingamabob or your company's newest hardware product (and how you earn your living), you should consider attending. The main focus is meeting like minded people who are building fun things (with atoms!)

Seattle Hardware Happy Hour June 2022!

Needs a location

The Design that Matters team will be opening up their studio to the Seattle 3H community for our June meetup. This event will start at 6pm (an hour earlier than usual) and will go until 9pm.

What We'll Do:

  • Have Fun!
  • Share projects and stories
  • Make some custom t-shirts and stickers (we will have access to their vinyl cutter and laser cutter)

What to Bring:
Your projects in any stage of completion from basic concept/idea to working product. We want attendees to share both their successes and failures with fellow makers. You are welcome to bring a small 8.5x11 sign and/or business cards. We'll have a few note cards and sharpies for on-site labels. There will be limited access to 110V power and attendees will need to bring their own extension cords. We will set aside a few tables for people to set up projects.

Maker Exchange Box:
If you have something to share/donate to the local maker community... microcontrollers, breadboards, motors, resistors, LEDs, filament... give those projects you abandoned a new life!

There will be plenty of parking in the industrial park around Design that Matters. The parking spots directly in front of Design that Matters will be blocked off with tents for activities.

Beverages & Snacks:
This event will be BYOB so please bring your favorite beverage or snack. We are asking attendees to limit adult beverages to beer/cider. We are also asking for attendees to bring aluminum cans to make clean up at the end of the event easier. We will have a several coolers filled with ice to keep beverages cold. PostDoc Brewing and Mac & Jack Brewing are just steps away so you don't have to plan ahead.
