Makers of Seattle Winter Gathering 2021!
Details
We will be closing out 2021 with an end of year event similar to previous years although smaller. This will be an inside event and those of you who have been to 3H meetups at PostDoc Brewing in the past, we will have the entire "production" space where we typically sit at the picnic tables (see picture above). Please RSVP for this event so that we can ensure we do not over crowd the space provided, we are limiting attendance. We want to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for those that want to attend in person.
What We'll Do:
• Have fun!
• Share projects and stories.
What to Bring:
Your projects in any stage of completion from basic concept/idea to working product. We want attendees to share both their successes and failures with fellow makers. You are welcome to bring a small 8.5x11 sign and/or business cards. We'll have a few note cards and sharpies for on-site labels. There will be limited access to 110V power and attendees will need to bring their own extension cords. We will set aside at least two picnic tables for people to set up projects.
Maker Exchange Box:
If you have something to share/donate to the local maker community... microcontrollers, breadboards, motors, resistors, LEDs, filament... give those projects you abandoned a new life!
Raffle/Prizes:
Nothing to announce currently but there is a plan to give a few things away.
Parking:
There is typically plenty of parking between the parking lot right in front of PostDoc Brewing or street parking of 65th street.
Food:
Food truck MexiCuban (https://www.mexicuban.com/) will be there and they plan on staying until 7:30pm. If you planned to get food please arrive close to 7pm and order immediately so you don't miss out. MexiCuban has kindly agreed to stay until 7:30 (later than they usually stay) to ensure our group has a chance to get food.
Request:
PostDoc Brewing has generously reserved their entire production space for our event at no charge. They have been a great partner in our ability to host events over the last few years. Buying beer and/or supporting the food truck is the best way to show your appreciating for them supporting this community. And buying beer to-go (instead of drinking during the event) is another great way to support PostDoc.
