If you want to connect more authentically with yourself and with others, and to create a more meaningful and passionate life, this meetup based on the Awareness, Courage and Love (ACL) model developed and researched at the University of Washington is for you. Led by the co-creator of this model and/or regular experienced members of this group, we will practice: open-hearted presence; self-expression; deep listening, acceptance and compassion; self-care; embracing vulnerability; giving and receiving support; and living more boldly. After each meeting, you will leave with exercises and tools that you can try with 2-3 people or more (family, friends, co-workers, intimate partners) to deepen your relationships and to move towards what you value most in life. This is not intended to be a treatment or a therapy group to resolve psychological/psychiatric problems.
In order to build a life that we want to live, it is important to act according to our values--the principles that anchor who we want to be and what we want to do, the internal standards that comprise our compass--a strong
source of guidance amid the currents of our lives.
We will be meeting online via the Zoom platform, which allows for tiny visuals of all attendees and also small breakout groups to have private open-hearted conversations just like we've always done in person at our meetups. If you're not used to meeting online, it's normal to feel anxious.
We really hope you will attend and gain support, centeredness, and inspiration.
When you RSVP, you will see a Zoom link to the meeting. You will be able to connect using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Please invite anyone who you think might benefit from this theme to join our group and RSVP.
If you haven't already done so, please read and sign these two forms prior to attending:
