What we're about

Seattle Piano Players is a group for people who would like to:

• Meet other piano players

• Share the pieces you’re working on

• Learn from others

• Practice playing in front of others

• Make new friends

This is a group for all skill levels -- the only requirement is that you be willing to play your piece(s) in front of a friendly and supportive audience.

We meet monthly in different member's homes to play. Because events are held in private homes, we request that your profile for this group includes a photo of your face and your real first name. Also, please honor your commitment when you RSVP. If you "no-show" you can expect to stay on the waitlist at furture Meetup's. If you "no-show" twice, you will be deleted from the group.

This group is sponsored by Classic Pianos of Bellevue (http://www.classicpianosseattle.com).

Holiday Meetup for Seattle Piano Players

Online event

Hi everybody! I'm excited to announce that our Assistant Organizer, Richard Bosworth, will be hosting a virtual meetup on December 13th at 1 PM. Attendance will be limited to 12 performers. Please sign up as soon as possible to assure a spot. Registration will close on December 5th at 1 PM. As Richard did with our last meetup, he will be using the Rock Out Loud video conferencing system. In contrast to Zoom, Rock Out Loud offers a straightforward, more stress-free experience with improved audio quality. To prepare for our meeting, it is extremely important that you do the following: 1. Download Google Chrome if you don't already have it on your computer. In the case of tablets or smartphones, just go to Google Play on the App Store and simply download Rock Out Loud on your device. 2. If you have a headset (wired or wireless) with no attached mic, we recommend you use it. This will allow you to take full advantage of the high fidelity sound that Rock Out Loud provides. 3. Make sure you have an adequate internet connection; it is suggested to have at least 20 mpbs download and 10 mpbs upload. You can go to www.speedtest.net to check it out. 4. A reminder notice will be sent to all attendees on December 5th containing a permanent (reusable) URL for admitting you. Don't click on the link unless you have Chrome set as your default browser. Bookmark it instead. To ensure a smooth login, we recommend that you take care of the above steps several days prior to the meetup. If you encounter any difficulties downloading Rock Out Loud, contact us. Anyway, we plan on having a test run on December 6th at 1 PM. We look forward to seeing you there. Plan to stay for the entire event. You are encouraged to arrive a few minutes earlier so that we can get started on time. Thank you!
