Seattle Scalability: Tune Deployment & Cryptocurrency + Scaling Crypto-Commerce

This meetup focuses on Scalability and technologies to enable handling large amounts of data: Hadoop, HBase, distributed NoSQL databases, and more!

There's not only a focus on technology, but also everything surrounding it including operations, management, business use cases, and more.

Vladimir will live demo end to end actual deployment of large scale ad tracking, campaign management and reporting systems. These are services which TUNE runs in production 24/7, and these services are being deployed into single box docker environment. We will walk through architecture, see how services interact and how cloud infrastructure is utilized. This will be of interest to anyone who wants to see an inside view of large scale and complex production system, and anyone who is interested in leveraging containers for Software as a Service products. We will discuss lessons learned from dockerizing retroactively large number of services and how docker can be integral part of development process.

Scaling Crypto-Commerce

Smart contracts and other intersections between computer science and economics will allow scaling crypto-commerce. In turn these changes change security patterns in web apps and increase the scope for development using cloud computing. Reprised research and more.

Our format is flexible: We usually have 2 speakers who talk for ~30 minutes each and then do Q+A plus discussion (about 45 minutes each talk) finish by 8:30.
