Hood Head and Port Ludlow - Two-Day Paddle

Hood Head and Port Ludlow - Two-Day Paddle

Details

Description: Saturday, we are going to paddle from Port Gamble to the Hood Head CMT Campsite, set up camp, paddle to dinner at the Inn at Port Ludlow, then paddle back to camp. Sunday morning, we will pack up camp, paddle to Port Gamble, have brunch in Port Gamble, then paddle around Port Gamble Bay before heading home. All of our paddling will be with the current. The only food needed this trip will be your lunches and snacks ... the dinner and breakfast this camping trip will be fine dining at gourmet restaurants! :)

Sign-up Requirements: This is a medium length paddle (22 n.m. in two days) in cold water with open-water crossings. To sign up for this paddle, you must be an intermediate or advanced paddler with good boat-handling, bracing, re-entry, and rescue skills and be able to paddle a sustained 2.5 knots pace. The required kayaking experience and skills need to be documented in your meetup-profile information and your answers to the sign-up questions. RSVP's without answers to the sign-up questions will be deleted.

RSVP: The paddle size is subject to campsite capacity limitations. RSVP is waitlist as an expression of interest. The paddle group will be populated from the waitlist, with preference for paddlers and campers of known experience and pace from past paddles.
