Memorial Day kayak camping - possible problems

I received an email from one of our kayakers that indicates that I need to do some follow up on access issues. I will follow up and adjust the trip if required.

There was a huge rock slide a month and a half ago exactly where the truck
picks your kayaks up for the shuttle. I spoke with the resort owner (truck
operator) last week and he has no idea how this will affect his business or
his ability to serve his clients including truck passengers. You should call
him and make sure he can haul your group over the dam. If you've been there
before, you know there's a tunnel on the haul road, just to the right of the
pics in the link above. The tunnel is closed indefinitely so they're cutting
a temporary access route into the hillside above the tunnel and evidently
kayakers won't be allowed to paddle past that. Should be a very interesting
scene. You may end up carrying your loaded kayaks a couple hundred steep
yards up a trail to the haul road.
