Career Data Mining & Job Hunting SEO

In light of the tech-savvy nature of our group, Bellevue-based career coach Matt Youngquist has agreed to come in and share some of his top tips on how to use today's technology to advance your career prospects.

In his talk, he'll be explaining several key areas of job hunting where "personal SEO" comes into play -- demonstrating several extremely useful (but little-known) job hunting tools, along with sharing some unorthodox but powerful ways to leverage more familiar systems, such as LinkedIn. All in all, it should be a very engaging talk that goes well beyond the generic level of job hunting advice most people have heard in the past, exploring the exciting new paradigm of finding meaningful employment in today's connected, web-enabled world.

WHERE:

SURF Incubator's Cafe Space is on the 7th floor of the Well's Fargo Building. If you don't want to pay to park in the building, some less expensive street parking can be found in the neighborhood on weeknights but be aware that pay-to-park spots may charge until 8.

Admission is $10. We recommend paying ahead of time, but we do accept payment at the door.
