Monthly Meetup: September - Hackathon Showcase
Seattle VR's September Meetup features some of the amazing work created at this year's Hackathon. Demo Night is the crowning jewel, the after party, the highlight reel, and the final showcase all wrapped up in one convenient package. Come on out and see the results of our hackathon, meet the teams, hear the war stories, and celebrate the creativity of this passionate community! ------------------------ // UPDATE Tuesday 9-25 Featured Demos: ⚡ "Physics Not Included" - Physics Not Included follows the story of an apprentice world-builder learning step-by-step how the physics of a universe works, and in doing so, developing control over it. By solving puzzles with and learning more about electromagnetism, the player gains more ability to control their environment and its fundamental physical functions. 🤹 "Juggle VR - Flight of the Dragon" - Learn how to juggle by helping baby dragons to fly! Lower gravity and slow down time to practice your juggling technique. 🤖 "Boss Breaker" - Boss Breaker is an action VR game where the human sized player is pitted against a massive giant robot in a contained battle arena! 🌌 "Aurora" - Relax under the northern lights. Aurora is a demo of the immersive potential of VR to create a relaxing, peaceful, but interactive environment. 🐲 "dARgon thAR destroyAR" - An experience for the Magic Leap One, in which hand gestures are used to control a dragon and wreak havoc on nearby villages. Breathe fire and stomp enemies into oblivion! 👩‍🚀 "Double Dutch VR" - Double Dutch VR allows you to participate in a jump roping tournament in space in the future. 🏮 "Lantern" - Paint your own lantern and set it to drift. Your art will converge with others’ on a beautiful night at a lake, lighting up your heart with the simplest connection with others . A big thank you to the teams who have reached out to demo. A various combination of signs and people will guide you to the space from there. Transit Options: Bus lines: 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 13, 24 and D Line. As a tip, the closer you park to Queen Anne hill the freer the parking gets. Though you will have to walk a bit. ------------------------ Where does the $5 go?
