AR for Astronauts - a NASA SUITS project presentation
Details
Sanjit Singh and his team are prototyping a HoloLens app designed to help astronauts navigate lunar or martian terrain, by guiding them to designated way points where they can collect soil samples. Their project is supported by NASA's "SUITS Outreach" technology challenge, where student teams are challenged to design and create spacesuit information displays within augmented reality (AR) environments.
š Speaker Bio:
Sanjit (@sanjitpsingh) is an undergraduate senior at Rutgers University studying computer science. His area of interest is in the intersection of 3D graphics, XR, robotics, haptics, virtual world's & wearables. He will be graduating from Rutgers University this December.
