Abstract: It’s starts innocently with a Hue Bulb, but left unsupervised ends with a rack mount and some Artificial Intelligence. In this demo heavy session, we will learn how to put some of that technology know how you use at work. Take a journey through home automation from lightbulbs to Hubs, Raspberry PIs, Z-Wave, mqtt, containers, PoE Cameras and Machine Learning.

Bio: David is currently at AWS, where he figures out how to teach advanced computing topics to University Students. Previously he was Solutions Architect at AWS, & an evangelist at Microsoft. He likes to automate things at work and home, and may or may not ride a motorcycle swiftly.

Schedule: Doors open at 6:00 pm. Food arrives around 6:05. Presentation starts at 6:30.
