Seattle Eastside Ski/Ride Meetup Group
Meet other local skiers & snowboarders to get out and enjoy the mountains. We offer both local and out-of-area ski & snowboard trips, carpools, weekend ski houses, regular social events, and advice to save you $ on lift tickets. We welcome skiers and boarders of all skill levels. Come join us on the slopes!
Unless you own the Epic or Ikon pass - or an alternative pass issued by individual ski areas, most resorts will likely be operating with rules where these pass holders have first rights on the mtns. if they start reaching capacity (usually holidays/wknds). So with La Nina in the forecast for this winter, we know there are a lot of you that will be getting up to your favorite resort. So get out and enjoy everything the Mountains have to offer. PATAGONIA SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIP
When: August 25-September 2, 2023 (9 days/8 nights. 6 days of skiing/boarding)
Where: Cerro Catedral (Bariloche) and Chapelco (San Martin de los Andes)- Northern Patagonia, Argentina
Requirements: Strong-Intermediate to Advanced level skier or boarder with good level of fitness.
Highlights: Cerro Catedral combines amazing terrain with superb views of Lake Nahuel Huapi at a huge resort with modern lifts and infrastructure. Fantastic food, wine, local beer, a beautiful chalet, and top-notch guides plus an optional cat skiing day. Cerro Catedral boasts over 3700’ of vertical, 120km of slopes and virtually unlimited sidecountry/backcountry lines with steep couloirs, big bowls, and old growth tree skiing. With spectacular views onto the Lanin Volcano and Lake Lácar, Chapelco has modern lift infrastructure, varied terrain, and lots of snow. Optional trip extension for a hut to hut traverse from the famous Refugio Frey to Refugio Jakob for 7 days/7 nights of human-powered ski/splitboard touring (inquire for more info).
