The newest version of Java which is about to be released next summer, more than 3 years after it's feature list has been announced, brings a bunch of improvements under the hood. We are about to get enriched Process API, a brand new HTTP/2 client, JShell, a support for code modularization and few more.
4. What's new in Spring 5
Biggest change in Spring 5 is aligning the code base with JDK 8+9 and Java EE 7. In addition we will get support for Protobuf 3.0 in as part of web improvements, support for Reactive Programming Model, as well as a lot of performance improvements.
