We've been using Java 8 for a while and we’re used to those fancy new features. Here we’re going to dive deep into some of those with real life examples.

3. What's new in Java 9

The newest version of Java which is about to be released next summer, more than 3 years after it's feature list has been announced, brings a bunch of improvements under the hood. We are about to get enriched Process API, a brand new HTTP/2 client, JShell, a support for code modularization and few more.

4. What's new in Spring 5

Biggest change in Spring 5 is aligning the code base with JDK 8+9 and Java EE 7. In addition we will get support for Protobuf 3.0 in as part of web improvements, support for Reactive Programming Model, as well as a lot of performance improvements.

Mateja Opačić has been teaching Java since 1998. As a mentor he has worked with children on many awarded projects. Worked on different types of projects, enterprise backend, mobile, frontend, IoT, etc... As a software architect and developer won, with team, Diskobolos award 2009 in the field of Medical Informatics.  Always thriving for new knowledge, techniques, frameworks, etc... Loves working with a team and enjoys building one as well.

Petar Mitrović is doing the Software Engineering for almost a decade building a solid background in Java and Java Enterprise technologies. Passionate about OOP enjoying every chance to learn something new. He believes the teamwork and knowledge sharing are really important for success. He really cares about good engineering practice, knowledge sharing... and the world peace.
