This month, we'll be having a few beers, solving a CTF, and talking about InfoSec. Like we do _every_ month. blinken (aka me) is writing the challenge this month. Phear.
You'll need to bring:
• Your laptop, for hacking
For this CTF, you'll need the following on your laptop:
• A USB port to take a copy of the challenge (if the wifi is broken)
• You'll probably end up writing a little bit of code, so bring your favourite compiler and/or scripting language. Or just solve the whole thing with vim macros.
Don't forget, the winner this month gets to write the CTF for next month! Woo! CTF!
There's usually a bit of collaboration, so don't worry about having to solve this all yourself; team up with someone and learn some new skills(z).
The venue is Cisco Meraki, Level 7, 10 Finsbury Square EC2A 1AF. The closest stations are Moorgate and Old St. Meet at 7:00pm.
Note it's important that you RSVP for the meetup using your real name, as building security won't let you in the front door unless you're on the list. Call me on[masked] if you have any trouble getting in.
New to InfoSec? Not a problem. While some coding skills are recommended, we encourage people to work together and to share their solutions to the problem each month.
