###TALK & WORKSHOP

  • Title-
    p455w0rdCr4ck1ng Deep Dive & Cr4ckCTF

  • Description -
Serious password cracking capabilities are now within reach of adversaries due to the rapidly increasing availability of cheap compute power. Complex password policies have been developed in an attempt to mitigate this issue, but do they really address the risks? In this presentation we will briefly introduce the concepts behind password hash cracking, then perform a deep dive into real-world techniques and practical methods of cracking hashes on consumer hardware.

Everything you need to know to participate in Cr4ckCTF will be covered in the presentation and a docker image will be provided to ensure all required software is ready to go. Please ensure that your laptop is capable of running Docker, and have it installed. Note that the provided Docker Image is only x86 (AMD/Intel) compatible, and won't run on ARM based devices. More prep details soon.
