Are you interested and available to attend SHR meetups on Weekdays?

Hello everyone,

This meetup notice is really a survey to see how many Second Half Rally members want to attend meetup events during the week. If enough people are seriously interested AND available, I'll try to schedule some weekday events this year, particularly as the weather gets warm enough for biking and kayaking. My idea is that these weekday events could be scheduled on shorter notice to take advantage of good weather forecasts.

A few members have already asked me to schedule weekday events, but I was quite busy during 2012 getting the SHR group up and running with a full schedule of weekend events. I'd like to expand my schedule of SHR activities this year if it's worthwhile. However, I put a lot of effort into planning and hosting good SHR meetups. So I'm not going to take on extra work or tie myself down to a specific weekday meetup schedule unless enough fun people will join me.

I'm retired and have time during the week to do things. I think some other members do too, but I don't really know. Normally, I just go biking, walking, or kayaking by myself on weekdays when the mood strikes and the weather cooperates. This survey is a good initial step to see who might be interested in joining me for weekday activities.

The weekday activities would most likely be the same types of events you've seen me host on weekends -- biking, kayaking, walking, day trips, wineries, festivals, historic sites, camping, eating, drinking, etc. The advantage of doing them on weekdays is fewer crowds and scouting possible future places for weekend events. Plus, it's always satisfying to know we're out having a good time during the week while other people are stuck at jobs. hehe...

Anyway, you should RSVP "yes" for this meetup notice and answer a couple of questions if you're available and game for weekday SHR adventures. Then I'll have a better idea what's possible.
