USNA Band Concert at Annapolis City Dock - Meet at Middleton Tavern

This is a nice mid-week event that combines good food & drink at a historic downtown tavern in Annapolis with a FREE concert by the USNA woodwinds band at City Dock.

The setting on the harbor is perfect, and the music will make us all feel good about being Americans.  Plus, it's convenient to anything you want to see in downtown Annapolis.

We'll meet for pre-concert drinks and food at Middleton Tavern in the main downstairs bar area.  You can park in Annapolis or over the bridge in Eastport, which is just a short walk from downtown.

It's a quick easy walk from Middleton Tavern to the City Dock to see the concert.  After that, we can go wherever people want.  Bring a folding chair if you want to be comfortable at the concert.

Here's the description of the concert from the "Eye on Annapolis" calendar:

Naval Academy Band "Alumni Concert" at City Dock

When: Tuesday, July 30 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Where: 1 Dock Street, Annapolis, MD (map)

The United States Naval Academy Band, “The Navy’s Oldest and Finest”, will present a free concert at the Annapolis City Dock’s Susan B. Campbell Park on Tuesday, July 30 at 7:00 p.m.

Naval Academy Band Alumni will join the Wind Ensemble for this performance. The Alumni Big Band will also be featured. The Wind Ensemble is comprised of some of the nation’s finest musicians. The ensemble performs a year-round public concert series featuring varied programs of marches, orchestral transcriptions, patriotic music, and class wind band repertoire.

All concerts by the Naval Academy Band are free and open to the public with no tickets required. Susan B. Campbell Park is located at 1 Dock Street in Annapolis, MD.

Our SHR group will do this event in any weather since it never rains inside a good tavern, and the USNA band is prepared to play in all conditions.

Call Jake at[masked] if you need to find us.

I hope to see you there!

Great weather and a cool bunch of people plus the concert on the dock made this lots of fun. We had steamed shrimp and beer at Middleton's beforehand. This was a good start for doing mid-week events.

Thanks for a Tuesday night meetup Jake, always fun. As I worked today, had to miss the dinner. Would have been there a half hour sooner, but got confused at the City Dock looking for you. Who knew there would be a 100 white haired gents in attendance, took some time to find the Reverend. Five Stars.
