What we're about

The Self-Improvement for Nerds (SIfN) community is about improving our lives, changing our habits and being happier, studying smarter, gaining skills and achieving our goals the smart way. Why "Nerds"? Because we believe that knowledge, and especially science, is interesting, informative, and the basis for a better life. We meet for guided discussions and informal presentations on good stuff. The stuff you need to live better. Habits, mood, communication, the brain. With science! The group is facilitated by Chris Watkins, accredited life coach and nerd.

4 Seasons Laksa

Some of the best laksa in Melbourne, other great dishes, and a chance to catch up and talk about what's working and isn't working in our lives, and how to move forward. Date TBA. It's a small-ish restaurant. (It's fine if you contact me or have to change last minute, just do your best to let me know whether you can make it.) A mini adventure in East Hampton. That's in Bayside, between Brighton and Moorabbin. This place has the best laksa I've found so far in Melbourne, and they even have a big bush of laksa leaf (the Malay term for Vietnamese mint) growing in their backyard, and make up the spice mix themselves. A chance to catch up. No official agenda for the night, but it's a great chance to talk about habit change, what's working and what isn't for you, or any questions you have about self-improvement. Vegetarian & vegan people They make a great tofu laksa, but being Malaysian they love their shrimp paste. I'll ask them if they have strict veg options.
