Welcome to the Meetup group for Seminole Audubon Society! If you are interested in furthering your knowledge of birds, meeting other birders, and helping to conserve habitat for birds and other wildlife – then you are in the right spot.

The 2021-2022 Season runs from September to April. An overview of what has been planned can be found in our Season Brochure. Additional information about a specific meeting or field trip can be found under the “Birding” tab on the Seminole Audubon Society website or by clicking on one of the links below.

Due to concerns about the corona virus, our meetings will start out online using Zoom. For the safety of participants on field trips, we will be following CDC guidelines and local COVID-19 orders regarding social distancing and the wearing of masks. Information on meetings and field trips will be posted on Meetup and SAS’s Facebook page. D Ranch Preserve!

This field trip is now full! No more reservations are being accepted.

Once a historic cattle ranch, D Ranch Preserve is now a haven for wildlife. This 476-acre property is owned and managed by Conservation Florida. The preserve contains 149 acres of critical Florida scrub habitat and 60 acres of scrubby flatwoods. Many iconic Florida species require this habitat for their survival, including Florida Scrub-Jays, sand skinks, eastern indigo snakes, Wood Storks, Burrowing Owls, and gopher tortoises.

THIS EVENT IS LIMITED TO 15 PEOPLE AND RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Please contact Sarah Donlan[masked] or email [masked] for reservations.

Cleanup at Lake Jesup Park

Meet us at 7:30 am to help clean up the park and perhaps do a little birding! Please bring gloves, bags, trash picker tool or any other equipment needed to collect trash.
