Forage Fish Forum - Environmental Workshop Tuesday Evening August 20 in Daytona

Forage Fish Forum - Environmental Workshop Tuesday Evening August 20 in Daytona

Details

Bait fish are an essential part of the diet of wading birds and other seabirds. A decline in the abundance of these little prey fish species will affect these birds and other marine wildlife. Habitat degradation is a major cause for concern.

Representatives from The Pew Charitable Trusts will lead a discussion about the importance of keeping healthy populations of prey fish. Learn how a proactive approach to managing fish populations could help these fish as well as the birds who depend on them, and what you can do to help make that happen.

This forum is hosted by UCF's Walter and Betty Boardman Foundation.
