This group was created for Senior Healthcare Professionals. It is our purpose to provide ONE PLACE where they can find and post events in the valley. Joining this meetup will allow you to receive notices and reminders of education and networking events going on for Senior Healthcare Professionals. Dementia Hub at Oakwood Creative Care "The Mesa Memory Cafe' Free Memory Class"

The Dementia Hub by Oakwood Creative Care

The New Memory Cafe' is in conjunction with the City of Mesa and becoming Mesa Friendly. We are offering FREE classes on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday's of each month (closed on major holidays) from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

These classes are for family care partners and those living with memory impairment. Join us for a fun, safe, social, and supportive morning. Grab some coffee and a pastry, and then join an engagement activity, or a care partner support group. Our team of community partners and dementia experts are here to support you along your dementia journey.

Are you caring for a loved one who requires around-the-clock attention? Is your own well-bring suffering as you tend to the needs of one who needs you? Do you feel overwhelmed, resentful, or alone in your obligations? Duet: Partners in Health & Aging is offering family caregiver support groups to help.

Attending a support group can make all the difference! You will discover you are not alone as you share camaraderie with others who "get it." You can express your frustrations in a safe space, without judgement. You will be guided to resources and learn coping strategies to bolster your resilience.

Being a caregiver can be even more complicated when you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community. This new caregiver support group is designed to allow you to speak freely about your concerns and issues with others who will completely understand you. Whether you are caring for a spouse, a partner, a parent, or a friend, you are not alone. Join us for emotional support, helpful tips, and ways to better navigate this difficult caregiving journey.

New Men's Caregiver Info & Support Group ~ 1st Saturday of Month

Duet Hosts "New Men's Caregiver Info & Support Group" on 1st Saturday of each month from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. This is an online Virtual Zoom Event and Free of charge.

This group will give men who find themselves thrust into becoming a caregiver for a spouse, parent, or other loved one, the opportunity to have a discussion addressing issues they are facing with other men in similar situations.

Sometimes male caregivers have unique challenges they would like to discuss with other men who "get it." You will be guided to resources and learning, coping strategies to bolster your confidence and resilience. Come join us for practical support.
