Let's Warm-up for Shakespeare's Birthday by Reading a Play Together

This meet-up is designed to help people prepare for the discussion of Midsummer Night’s Dream that we will engage in on April 23rd. We will begin reading this play together from Act 1, Scene 1, Line 1 --- building comfort with Shax’s language, themes, style, and dramaturgy, asking and answering questions as we go. If this is your first time reading Shakespeare, or your hundredth, this should be serious fun, :). Preparation: minimal. It never hurts to look through the opening before we begin, although it is not required. You are required to bring your own text, however. Lastly, if English is not your native language, you might want to look at Act 1 of a translation. However we will only refer Shakespeare's original text.

PS: We will begin reading this play ---- we will not finish it on the 19th!
