Serverless workloads can help parallelize compute-intensive tasks. In this session, I'll walk through a solution that uses AWS Lambda and Amazon EventBridge to process GIF preview animations from full length videos. The example code shows how a 20-minute task from a server-based process takes only 10 seconds in the serverless equivalent, by scaling parallel tasks across Lambda function workers. This session is primarily a demo and a code walkthrough, intended to show how you can bring Lambda to compute-intensive workloads.
