When powers combine: Azure Function Apps & PowerShell - Barbara Forbes

Azure PowerShell function apps are a great option for all your Azure administration, event driven scripts and interaction with data in storage accounts or databases. But how do you use them? In this talk, We will take a look at the possibilities with some real-world examples as our guide. After that, let's see how you can get started with creating and deploying your own Azure Function Apps. With some practical demo's you will be ready to make the most of Azure Function Apps with PowerShell yourself.

Go Serverless with Azure Function - Daniel Hindrikes

Azure functions are a service from Microsoft that makes it possible to write functions/small pieces of code without having to care about hardware, operating systems, scaling and setup. The only thing you need to do is to write the code that solves your problems.

Azure Functions is very flexible and can be used in many ways, you can use it for writing for example API: s, handling events and to solve orchestration problems. You can use Azure functions together with other Azure Services without having to write any connection code yourself.

During this session Daniel Hindrikes, Microsoft MVP, will show you an overview of Azure Functions and how to get started to build a powerful, flexible, and also very cheap micro service solution using Azure Functions.

Daniel Hindrikes - App Innovation Developer

Daniel is a developer and architect that has his passion for developing mobile apps powered by the cloud. Daniel has been developed iOS- and Android with Xamarin since the early days of Xamarin. But he started to develop mobile apps even before that, mostly on the Android- and Windows platforms.
Daniel enjoying to share his knowledge by speaking, blogging or recording the podcasts, App In The Cloud and The Code Behind. Daniel is also co-author of the book, Xamarin.Forms projects and a Microsoft MVP in Developer Technologies.
Daniel working for tretton37 in Sweden and he has experience for working with both local- and global customers.

Barbara Forbes - Consultant

Barbara is a Microsoft Azure MVP, MCT and consultant. Her daily work includes Azure, Office 365, Windows Server and automation. Her focus is on Azure automation, PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code and Azure DevOps. Her blog is found at https://4bes.nl.
