How to deploy Lambda functions using CI/CD and IaC with AWS stack only by Paweł Piwosz

Let’s have a challenge. Is it possible to use the AWS tooling only to deploy Lambda function? During this hands-on talk we will check it! Using CloudFormation we will create CodePipeline which will deploy Lambda using… CloudFormation! Is this stack and approach reliable? Is it a good choice when designing CI/CD for the project? Let’s figure it out.
More than half of this talk we will spend on VSCode, AWS console and CLI. You will be able to feel the work of DevOps!
1h long 50% hands-on session. Access to the internet (in case of in-person sessions). This session was delivered a couple of times, but topic is important and misunderstand enough to deliver it again and again, to make sure that DevOps people (and not only them!) understand correctly what CI/CD is.

CQRS 3.0 - The Serverless Solution by Jan "Janek" Fellien

A few years ago I started to develop Enterprise Applications in the CQRS style like the enterprise companies liked. Since then, I made a lot of experiences and changes in the CQRS enterprise style. Finally, it led me to my new version of CQRS. I call it 3.0.
In this talk, I will explain my way of CQRS styles from "Apply" to "Stream". It's serverless, it's Cloud and Domain driven, and it's simple to use. All of it is glued by Custom Bindings. So if you are interested in how to build a highly scalable, distributed, magic backend, join my session.

Paweł Piwosz is an DevOps Institute Ambassador, CD.Foundation Ambassador and AWS Community Builder.
Engineer, leader, mentor, speaker.
My focus is on CALMS. I am building better understanding of DevOps as driver for the organization. And currently I am leading the DevOps and Cloud Academy at EPAM Systems Poland, where we are shaping new engineers to be professionals.

Jan "Janek" Fellien:
My path to profession began more than 25 years ago. But even before that I was involved in IT and software development. After an infinite number of co-developed data-driven applications, I discovered the world of Domain Driven Design and CQRS in 2010. Since then, I've been in love with it, just like the Azure Cloud.
I am co-organizer of the first German Domain Driven Design Conference KanDDDinsky and since 2017 official Microsoft Azure MVP.
