Stuttgart Service JAM - 48 hours to change the world by #doingnottalking.

Come and join us to get hands-on experience of the Service Design processes and tools, meet like-minded innovators, and be part of a global initiative to create truly user-centric services. Did we mention “all of this with lots of fun, food and free facilitation”?

What is a Service JAM?

A Service JAM is like a music session, where players interact with other players and create new compositions. In our case we're working together in interdisciplinary teams to understand problems of users and create service prototypes that provide great user experience. Examples from last year:

• an App that shows you where you can buy locally produced food
• a concept to improve internal communication within companies via VR
• a concept for a café where people with psychological issues can meet and exchange ideas

What happens in the JAM?

You will work in teams and have less than 48 hours to develop and prototype new services, products or initiatives inspired by a shared theme together with 150 cities around the world.

Experienced Service Design practitioners will guide and facilitate you through the journey, show and teach you different Service Design methods and tools which you can also use in your professional and personal life.

Who is the JAM for?

The event is for anyone and everyone interested in

• exploring new topics,
• learning from other disciplines,
• creating products or services in a team

You don't have to be a musician or a designer. It doesn't matter which profession you're from. During the JAM you will be learning by actually DOING the Service Design approach and create unique user experiences.

"Stuttgart Service JAM" Schedule:

Friday 5pm - 9pm
You meet your fellow Jammers and get to know the secret theme from Global Service Jam headquarters. After forming the teams, it’s GO TIME! To understand the view of users.

Saturday 9am - 7pm
Your Stuttgart Service Jam (#SSJam) team will guide you in a step by step approach to bring your team’s ideas to life by #doingnottalking. You will

• go out on the streets to understand, observe, and gather user expectations,
• start ideating on a specific challenge of your users,
• develop service prototypes,
• test and validate prototypes with users.

Sunday 9am - 5:30pm
You will finalize your ideas and refine your prototypes. Then it’s SHOW TIME! In front of other teams of the JAM.
