The New Zealand Service Design Chapter provides a platform to bring practitioners, academics, students, and organisations together to develop, promote and strengthen the knowledge and practice of Service Design in New Zealand.

Services are intangible and occur over time across different touchpoints. As such, being able to communicate, share and align on concepts is a critical aspect of any Service Design project. This is when having a skilled illustrator comes in handy! From early concepting stages to prototyping ideas to communicating a final concept, storyboards and illustrations are always a very useful technique in any Service Designer's tool box.
Come and join us to hear Roger Mason give practical insights on his extensive experience with Service Design projects.
Illustrating customer journeys for service design agencies has formed the bulk of Roger's output over the last ten years. Working closely with many London-based agencies, on brands like Converse, Google, Dubai Airport, Jaguar, Travelex and Hyundai, Roger shares his experience in this talk for the Service Design Network New Zealand Chapter.
With the aid of slides and practical demonstrations, Roger opens the lid on his process, from consultation to delivery. As Roger is also an accomplished art teacher, a short workshop will follow that will boost participants' skills and help them create their own illustrations.
