What we're about

For those interested in using our collective powers to accelerate our knowledge and skills in Service Design. Both a networking and skill building opportunity. Informal, practical sessions will test and try out new tools, discuss emerging practices, talk rubbish with Service Design practitioners from across Perth. Of course, this Meetup is a prototype - so build it with us...

Digital DIY & the magical world of interactive newspapers: putting people first

We know some of you have been asking for no more winter early starts, so apologies for another cold morning meetup, we promise August will be a night time meetup! We are happy to announce we are going to a new space in Perth to hear from Curtin University’s Dr Philip Ely. Dr Ely will speak about some design mistakes, before proceeding to a human-centred look at tech in everyday life (his PhD). He will discuss his speculative design project Interactive Newsprint where he is working with end-users and also some exploration of some key ideas emerging in design research and our local interest (Design Futures). Please note, the entrance is from Brookfield Place and not St.George Tce. Ping us in the comments or on slack (Join http://perthdesign.org/ if you haven't done so already) if you get lost or call Jonathan on[masked]
